Google Site Links Explained

Number of webmasters or average web surfer wonder at times when they have searched for something in the search engines, while the results come they have a website and then a number of links below that.

Basically those links under the website are called “Site Links”. They are randomly and automatically chosen by Google's algorithm. Not every keyword returns such results. Now how good is having these site links or how to get the site links listed for your website depends on various factors? The exact information about it is not available but few key points need to be considered.

Factors influencing Site Links:

1) Your website must be 3 years or older. Younger websites usually do not get the Site Links.

2) Your website must have stable number 1 ranking on searched keyword for more then 2 years. If the website is not on # 1 position it does not get Site Links.

3) Your website must get a lot of traffic. The number of searches and those number of searches leading to your website also count.

4) You have to have great number of internal Links pointing towards your website in order to qualify for a vote of confidence for that website by other websites.

Now if your website meets all of the above criteria then it stands good chance to get Site Links when it appears on the website.

Site links are valuable addition while getting huge amount of traffic. With number of Site links pointing towards your website will result in more conversions too.
