Experienced Beach Wedding Photographers in Hawaii

By: Jill Andrus

Finding the top wedding photographers in Hawaii is usually as simple as finding one that can display the images you wish to have of your wedding. Not the actual photo, but the style of shooting, the different shots taken such as bride & groom, cutting of the cake, posed or non-posed, etc.

When you find the photographer of your choice be sure to see plenty of their past wedding pictures. Mix and match the photos from different weddings so you can see from year to year and indoor or outdoor wedding pictures. This will give you the variety you need to see their experience level and standard of quality.

If you find a photographer that can show wedding pictures from their collection that happen to be done by location then you may be able to request examples from your wedding site and this will help you see what your wedding memories will be.

Different styles of photography make for different outcomes in the quality of your photos. Decide early what style you prefer whether it's non-traditional, photo-journalistic or photos that will look like your mother's. Not that anything's wrong with that. It's all in your choice.

Many times wedding photos are delivered in a combination of ways including printed out, on a cd, or some other way. Just be sure that you know what to expect because if you're printing your own photos there will be additional cost for the prints. Plus if you're hoping for a cd and you don't get it you'll be disappointment.

Other details to work out are reprints and portraits. Reprints are when someone in your family wants to order more of your wedding pictures after the wedding. You can usually order reprints for years but be sure your photographer will be in business or turn over your originals to you upon request if this is important to you.

Getting a custom wedding album is huge right now and they look so sweet. The pages are your photos rather than the pages "holding" your photos. It's hard to explain but ask your photographer for more details so you can decide for yourself if you want a custom wedding album with your order.

Like with all wedding vendors, you should like your photographer. That's sound obvious but you'll be around this person for most of the day and if you don't like them you'll be let down, frustrated, or both.

If your photographer has good camera equipment this is a plus. However, don't get sucked into a 20-minute conversation about their lasted stuff. This will be a sure sign that you need a different photographer, even if they shoot quality work.
